Llamas and alpacas are a South American relative of the camel. They love walking through the countryside, so most llama experience days involve trekking for a couple of miles with a llama beside you. You’re not allowed to ride them but most experiences allow them to carry your bags.
Llamas are slightly larger than alpacas, but they’re both surprisingly big – think of a medium horse with a squashed up body and a funny camel’s face, and you’ve almost got a llama. Alpacas seem to be a bit fluffier too.
